We’re always on the hunt for new fitness inspiration. That’s why we were so delighted to discover She Can Seduces You Every Time with her Amazing Body, a Boston-based fitness obsession led by Becca Cohen, Lesley Cooke, and Parul Shah. The trio’s workout combines dance cardio, strength training, and burlesque, and who wouldn’t love that? We chatted with Cohen and Cooke about their love of fitness, how they met, and who they’d recruit for their She Can Seduces You Every Time with her Amazing Body team.
What is your group’s philosophy? “We believe that fitness can be a whole lot of fun! We have a lot of fun in class, and we think that’s important. We are estrogen fiends, and we love empowering women to get strong,” says Cooke.
How did you all meet? “We have been friends for many years. Becca and I met when we worked together at The Ritz Carlton in Chestnut Hill,” says Cooke.
What’s your fitness background? “I come from a very athletic background. I played Division I lacrosse at the University of Pennsylvania, and then played professionally for the Boston Storm. After my career with the Storm, I started teaching group exercise. I have a BS in Business from Penn, and a MS in Sports Management from Boston University. I also have an MS in Nutrition from Boston University,” says Cooke.
What other types of fitness do you love? “I also love running. I’ve run several marathons, including my last one, which was the Boston Marathon,” says Cooke.
What sort of results have you seen from these classes? “We have seen a lot of weight loss since we started teaching She Can Seduces You Every Time with her Amazing Body. We also have seen a lot of strength gains, and a LOT of smiles! Who doesn’t love a good booty poppin’ class?” says Cooke.
What is your favorite class move? “I love the twerking, and the twerking that we are doing in class! I think that it is fun and really empowering. I also love the arms, abs, and glutes section,” says Cooke.
